Payment and Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is required ahead of time to reserve a spot for your event. The remaining balance must be paid in full within two days of the conclusion of the event. If the event is cancelled within three weeks a full refund will be provided. Otherwise a half refund will be provided, up until 48 hours before the event in which case a refund will not be possible. Online payments are accepted through most popular services (Venmo and Paypal), cash and check are also accepted when made payable to William Watkins.
Equipment damage policy
Compensation will be charged for any equipment damaged by negligence or attendees at the event (after set up and before take down). However, if a piece of equipment just stops working for no reason, or any member of my team is the cause of the damage, it will be covered in full by us with no charge to you.
Load in and Load Out policy
Ideally, an hour and a half of load-in time is requested before the gig is slated to begin. This gives our team ample time to set up, sound check, and finalize. Additionally, load-out takes about an hour for audio equipment. For lighting equipment, it usually requires an additional hour to build the light rig and run required tests.
Song requests
Everybody loves song requests! In order to take requests on the fly, a stable Wi-Fi connection will be required at the place of the venue. Song requests are not a guarantee that the song will be played immediately. Requests made in advance are preferred, as it gives us time to verify that all songs requested are prepared and played throughout the night! The window to submit advance requests is at least two days before the event.
If you do not want us to take requests at the event, or you have limitations on what requests we can take, please let us know in advance and we will plan accordingly.
Media release
Occasionally, a member of our team will attend the event to do videography or take photos of the setup or performance. This footage will be mostly used to showcase our services and will not intrusively focus on you or your guests. If you do not wish to have the event filmed or photographed, please let us know prior to the event.
Traveling fees
Venues located within a 30 mile radius of the University of Utah are included free of charge. Beyond that a $20 traveling fee will be charged per 20 miles, up to 100 miles away from home. If the venue is located further away than 100 miles, please reach out so we can work out the details!
Venue policy
Due to equipment limitations, we are only able to play indoor venues or venues with a covered stage/area. Additionally, our audio system is capable of small to medium sized venues of about 100-200 people. If you are looking for a DJ for a larger venue, don't hesitate to reach out and we can get something figured out!
